Although Looper gave up three runs, he pitched well. He was able to locate his pitches and throw with some authority. Josh Hancock pitched 2/3 of an inning and gave up two home runs.
Let's hope Carp can get back in the lineup soon because we need all the defense we can get while our bats are absolutely silent and hitting into double-plays just about every other inning. Izzy looked sharp in his first inning of work this season.
But at least we have Jimmy Edmonds playing everyday and Duncan making some good plays in the outfield and had a hit in an otherwise quiet night. Too bad Preston Wilson can't say the same - he misjudged a couple of hits, one of which led to two more runs.
