According to ESPN, C.C. Sabathia, who is scheduled to be the Cleveland Indians opening day starter, was struck on his left arm (his pitching arm) by a line drive off of Reed Johnson. Preliminary reports are that it's a bruised left forearm. If C.C. misses any amount of time here, the Indians will be in all sorts of trouble for opening day since Cliff Lee won't start the season in the bigs after suffering an "abdominal pull." Yet another pitcher to keep a close eye on come draft day. Sabathia struggled at the beginning of the year last year, but settled down and finished with a solid 3.22 ERA.
Edit: Sabathia is now saying that he will be ready for opening day!
