while carp said he was pleased with his performance last night against the braves, he gave up four runs in as many innings. he was pleased with the location of his pitches and the fact that he was able to work in his changeup for a couple of strikes. and although he struck out five, he was also tagged for five doubles.
fortunately the cards were able to muster some offense against the braves. duncan hit another homer and eckstein was able to find a hit. kennedy was back in the lineup but failed to get his bat on the ball.
